SmokeLore Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2, 2026
SmokeLore is a BBQ recipe app. This page explains what information the app uses and why. It is not legal advice, and it is not written by a law firm.
Who we are
SmokeLore is operated by the developer of the SmokeLore app. Contact: support@smokelore.app.
What we collect
- Account email — used to create and sign in to your account (via Supabase).
- Recipes and cook notes you save — stored so they are available on your account (via Supabase).
- Photos you upload — cover photos and pictures of your cooks that you choose to add (via Supabase storage).
- Purchases — if you buy Pit Master, Apple handles the payment. We use RevenueCat to know whether your subscription is active. We do not receive your full payment card number.
We do not ask for your advertising ID (IDFA). The app does not use App Tracking Transparency because we do not track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
Ads (free users)
If you use SmokeLore for free, you may see ads from Google AdMob. Those ads are requested in a non-personalized way. We do not use IDFA, and we do not run a tracking-based ad setup.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not build a tracking profile of you for advertising.
- We do not claim to collect data we do not actually collect.
Who processes data for us
- Supabase — accounts, recipes, and uploaded photos.
- Apple — App Store account and in-app purchases.
- RevenueCat — Pit Master subscription status.
- Google AdMob — non-personalized ads for free users.
Those companies process data under their own privacy policies when you use their services through the app.
Keeping and deleting data
We keep account, recipe, and photo data while your account exists so the app can work. Email support@smokelore.app if you want your account and saved content deleted.
Children
SmokeLore is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date.
